The Library of the Institute is essentially a facility for ordinary students, doctoral candidates and auditors of the School of Specialization. Those scholars who do not belong to this Institute must provide a letter of presentation from their respective University in order to access the library. To all those  with authorization will be given a personal card, valid for the current year and renewable annually, or a temporary permit valid for a designated period.

The library’s book collection consists of 50,000 volumes with annual increases of around 500-600 units. Almost all of the documents are available for free and immediate access. This implies an obligation to carefully observe the rules and regulations. Within the library there is a computer station with internet access available for use, as well as an active wireless network accessible throughout the library.

During the academic year, the Library observes the following hours:

Monday 08.30-6.30
Tuesday 08.30-1.45
Wednesday 08.30-6.30
Thursday 08.30-1.45
Friday 08.30-1.45

The library remains closed during July, August, September, and for the periods indicated in the Academic Calendar (in particular, Christmas holidays, Easter, and in occasion of the annual study trip). It is also possible that the times of opening and closing can vary depending on certain occasions, such as discussions of doctorate theses, conferences, seminars, etc.. You are therefore advised to pay particular attention to warnings that are posted on time.
